L’Institut d’Électronique et des Technologies du numéRiques (IETR – UMR CNRS 6164) has extensive expertise in the design of microwave antennas, circuits and systems, digital communications, radar and remote sensing, signal and image processing, and more. The SURF team has access to the most advanced measurement facilities in Europe for characterizing antennas, circuits and radars. The activities of the SURFWAVE team, involved in the MACIEO project, focus mainly on periodic and quasi-periodic structures (reflector or transmitter arrays, FSS, WAIM, etc.) and to a lesser extent on microwave filters. Within the MACIEO project, IETR will play the role of coordinator for all activities, and will work mainly on the microwave characterization of the materials developed, and on the design and characterization of the multiple reconfiguration filters and antennas that will serve as the final demonstrators for all the project's work.
Participants :
Erwan Fourn, associate professor specializing in the study, design and characterization of multi-band filters and antennas, is the project coordinator. He is in charge of supervising the design and characterization of the microwave demonstrators.
Raphaël Gillard, professor in charge of the design and characterization of intelligent reconfigurable surfaces.
Jérôme Sol, engineer in charge of the QOSC (Quantification Oriented Complex Systems) platform, he will characterize microwaves for parts WP2 to WP4 of the project.
Gilles Picoult, assistant engineer will manufacture the printed circuit boards for the project and carry out the microwave characterization for parts WP2 and WP4 of the project.
